Though I can't help but voice my disagreement with the assertion that Marie Antoinette posed no threat to the revolutionary government. As long as she remained alive, there would be a *constant threat of foreign plots of assassination and/or invasion on the parts? of her relatives abroad (as was the case when Elizabeth I imprisoned, then hesitated to execute Mary, Queen of Scots). As for the nobles who were executed, many of them actually were involved in counter-revolutionary activities.

Putting France through 5 different Republics following the French Revolution (all of which lack stability and order), laying the inspiration for modern revolutions to occur? Granted the revolution is vital to world history but the event of the revolution are horrible mainly? due to the fact that the French Revolution is a rebellion of the people unlike the American Revolution where its a Aristocratic Revolution.

I love how they don't really teach this in France, they only tell us that apart some deaths, Revolution was fun, and good and helped us and shit. I had 4 hours of history class every week for 10 years, and you taught me more about my own country revolution than any of my teachers. Either you are super good,? either our educative system is fucked : I think both.
