I'm sure there must be byproducts created by this? machine, right? Plastic isn't made of just petroleum, I would imagine there are all kinds of other chemicals and paint etc so would that also turn into oil or would it be seperated? And how would that byproduct be stored or disposed of? Otherwise this is a great invention. They have also discovered a plastic eating fungi which could be promising.

It really is, and Niger has a total population of approximately 15,73 million people. Can you even try and imagine how many babies that would be born within the time period of 2005-2010 if the average babies per woman (fertility rate) was 7.19?! It? is really crazy, and keep in mind; Niger is just one of many countries in the world with a high fertility rate. There are a lot of other countries with fertility rates between 4 and 7,. that's really something worth thinking about..

I agree, and another thing is that the world is overpopulated. I'm not encouraging anyone to kill people, but make less babies so the total population count would decrease over time (like China, only 1 child per woman). This way the planet's resources would be preserved in a much better way, we would see less poverty, less famines etc. because the resources we have would have been enough for the amount of people? living here. Niger for instance has an average of 7.19 babies per woman (2005-2010)!

Dont know where you're getting your facts from but the burning of oil contributes to only about 3% of electricity generation in the US. This invention has many uses if only to clean up the streets. If we? recovered all the lost oil in plastic trash around the world, pressure on drilling would decrease. Less drills, less spills.

More? oil? So we can burn more and put more shit into the air? No thank you, I prefer sustainable energy.
