you are wrong master chief is a spartan two which is stated in every game and book and also his spartan tag is 117 if he was a spartan three there would be a letter before the numbers? like A117 or something like that

Huh... I think you may be right... However, I am a bit confused because in the Halo book "The Fall of Reach" They listed Master Cheif as one of the first 300 children picked...
