It? "suppresses the neurons"? What the hell kind of vague statement is that? What Neurons? Where in the brain? What neurotransmitters do they deal with? Suppressing Acetylcholine is a hell of a lot different than suppressing Dopamine or Serotonin. Every year a few thousand kids eat a bunch of motion sickness pills to get high and find that out the hard way when their hearts start beating like a hummingbirds wings.

The pot isn't "the drug" so much as the container...it's just sort of the gel cap for all the tasty cannabinoids people want to get into their bloodstream. The Cannabinoids however, well? they're pretty much the definition of "drug", they're chemical agents that in vivo alter the manner in which the body or mind function. There's nothing wrong with that is the thing, it's the idea that "drug" is somehow a bad word...it's not, we all use drugs, some are just socially accepted.
